E-Invoicing Malaysia: Latest Update on Commencement Date
The enforcement of e-invoicing in Malaysia will be postponed to 1st August 2024, for taxpayers with annual turnover of RM100 million and above. Previous date was set at 1st June 2024, resulting in a two-month delay of e-invoicing initial implementation.
The news was informed by Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance during the presentation of Malaysian 2024 Budget. Meanwhile, taxpayers in other income categories will start at 1st July 2025 (exact dates to be announced). The rest of the dates remain the same until further announcement.
The delay will provide taxpayers an additional time to be prepared on the e-invoicing implementation. ADS will closely monitor the e-invoicing situation and will provide the latest update on our website.
